If you like chaos and rock music, then you’re going to be very interested in Gloo. Hailing from Littlehampton a town famous for well… not a lot, the trio are on a mission to take your world by storm. The band only formed a little over 6 months ago, but this track has already been making serious waves having been featured on episode 403 of US soap opera ‘The Royals’ which stars no less that Joan Collins and Elizabeth Hurley.
Act My Age is the musical equivalent of the Tasmanian Devil. It’s absolutely mental, in just the best way. Clocking in at a shade under two minutes, Act My Age storms into your life, fucks you up, and leaves. It’s loud, it’s brash and most importantly it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
“Act My Age is a diss to being expected to grow up,” comment the band on the track “It’s short and to the point. We think of it as uplifting – just under two minutes of do whatever the fuck you want. Just have some fun.
We wanted the video to have the same vibe as the track so we borrowed a school hall for an hour and chucked up a white sheet and just smashed through it a bunch of times, only interrupted by the two elderly women who were hosting some kind of bake sale after us walking in halfway through.”
The single was released yesterday through the bands own DIY label Dropping Bags Records, and is available on all the usual digital platforms, with a limited run of physical copies available from the band’s music glue site https://www.musicglue.com/gloo
