I’m not ashamed to say that I have been on the Diamante bandwagon for a good three years now. I came across her track Bite Your Kiss on YouTube and I have kept an eye on her career ever since. Her music is made for radio while still carrying an edge and likewise Diamante’s ‘Don’t give a fuck’ attitude draws you in.
Ahead of the release of her debut album later on this year the 21 year old has put her own spin on Lower Than Atlantis’ Had Enough. As the title suggests the track is pure defiance, something that appealed greatly to the singer “Something about its unapologetic honesty really captivated me. I think that level of honesty and bluntness of being able to tell the world: ‘Hey! I’m pissed off!’ is very powerful and something that music has been craving, especially in today’s climate.”
The solo star enlisted an all-female team for the Thelma and Louise inspired visual which gives more than a passing nod towards the #MeToo movement, which has raised so much awareness around allowing women to have their voice heard.
Check the track and the video below, this won’t be the last you hear of Diamante I promise you.
