Single Review: Dani Blue – It’s Alright

It has been far too long since I’ve had the chance to write about this incredibly talented lady. In fact you’ve got to cast your mind back to April last year for when Dani made her to date one and only appearance on these pages but what an appearance it was. I reviewed her single Without Me, which was and still is an incredibly moving piece of music. That review also includes more of Dani’s story so if you want to learn a bit more about her hit that link.

Now as much as looking backwards can be fun over here at The Musical Outcast I’m all about the here and now and what’s coming up in the future. So with that in mind let me introduce to you Dani’s new single It’s Alright.

The track was introduced to me as something completely different to Without Me and a real switch in style and my God she wasn’t wrong. Gone is the slow, sweeping emotional ballad and its place is an upbeat, skipping Americana enthused slice of summer. Thanks to my dad I’ve been a sucker for all things country and Americana since I was a child so anything which draws upon that sound for inspiration is always going to be a winner with me, and It’s Alright does that in fine style.

It’s catchy, upbeat and welcome respite from all of the seriousness in the rest of the world right now. If you’re looking for a song to put a smile on your face then look no further than this one.
