Single Review: Ali Ingle – The Great Romantic Drought

Back in January I reviewed a track called Hey Kid from the brilliantly talented singer and song writer Ali Ingle. Since then the Liverpool based performer has released his new EP The Great Romantic Drought and now the next single to be taken from that record is the title track, and once again what a great little track it is too.

Ingle’s unique delivery glides across the stirring instrumental before the track climaxes with a wonderfully rousing chorus. It’s not catchy in the typical sense but there is something about the track which demands your attention and more than once at that. I don’t think that the song quite hits the heights of previous single Hey Kid but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a very good listen.

Relatively speaking Mr Ingle is only really just starting out on his musical journey but it has been a very promising start indeed. The Great Romantic Drought is another very solid step in the career of Ingle and I only see bigger and better things coming his way in the future.
