EXCLUSIVE WORLD VIDEO PREMIERE: Fifth Quarter – ‘Meet Me In’

As regular readers know the Musical Outcast prides itself on bringing you all kinds of music based goodness first, and today is no different. That is because I officially can bring to you the exclusive world video premiere for the new Fifth Quarter track Meet Me In.

Meet Me In is the second instalment in the Victory Diner series. This chapter raises freedom and happiness as a perception and an uncertainty – free your mind, free your life?

The video picks up where last entry Ol’ Money left off as Fifth Quarter member Syf explains;

“After the separation in ‘Ol’ Money,’ Syf and Hennessey re-join in ‘meet.me.in.’ where Moose is waiting for them. Not entirely convinced of a successful escape, paranoia surrounds the three.”

I have reviewed Syf’s solo material before and this track once again his laid back and studios delivery takes centre stage. His flow is steady and deliberate, almost deadpan, but it means that his verses ride the beat effortlessly. I’m a big fan of the production as well; the beat isn’t a million miles away from something that we might have heard Kendrick Lemar over back in the Section 80 and Good Kid Mad City days.

Meet Me In is just a really good track with the group putting their own spin on UK hip-hop; it’s different to a lot of the stuff out right now and I like that about it. As always check the video and let me know what you think.
