Single Review: Brocker – Gimmie Gimmie Rock N’ Roll

I would like to start this review by saluting the first person who ever thought of mixing pop/punk and rock n roll. That person was a genius. They created one of the most fun and energetic kinds of music in the world and frankly who doesn’t enjoy a bit of that in their lives.

I’ve reviewed a few bands in line with the above description recently and I’m now going to add St Albans natives Brocker to that list.

Brocker is made up of Pako (Vocals, guitar) Ky (Bass, backing vocals) and Janchi (Drums, backing vocals). The trio have been around for a little while now steadily increasing their following and making a name for themselves as they go.

Produced by  Paul Tippler (Placebo, Idlewild, New Town Kings) Gimmie Gimmie Rock N’ Roll is the band’s new single and it’s just a hell of a lot of fun. The chorus will get stuck in your head; fly from your speakers at around 300mph and won’t require you to think deeply about serious life decisions. It’s a feel good track to lose your s**t to and dance like an idiot. Awesome.

As well as making the aforementioned bundle of energy the lads are also apparently a very generous bunch as the single also features a 2nd track called Incontrolable. Again, no surprises, no treats, just another blast of rock n’ roll with a slice of punk to help it along. I’ve linked both tracks for you to check out for yourselves.
