Well, well, well, haven’t the boys from In Search Of Sun been busy? The first bit of big news is that the London based alt-rock five-piece have a title for their 2nd album and not only that but work is well underway on getting it out into the world.
The new record will be called Virgin Funk Mother with the band having already given the world a taster of what they can expect with the release of Elevation last summer. That track then went on to attract the attention of none other than Nolly Getgood from Periphery who expressed an interest in mixing the new album.
The man himself then did a rough test mix of one of the new tracks which you can hear below, and that leads us nicely to the Kickstarter campaign.
The band heard that test mix and realised that this is where they want their sound to go and that’s where they want you guys to come in. The money raised from the donations will not only go towards covering Nolly’s mixing fees but also the mastering costs for the album. For your part you will be rewarded for your donation with potentially lots of cool stuff including new merch, signed copies of the new album, guitar lessons, one of the band’s actual guitars and even a night out with the guys. (I’ve seen these guys party so if you go in for that I’d make sure book the next day off work)
