There are many reasons to be excited about Download 2016 but one of them is without doubt Ashestoangels. Having received rave reviews for their live performances in support of Aiden in recent times it has now been confirmed that the band will be taking to Stage 4 at Donnington Park on the 12th June.
“For as long as there has been a Download Festival, I’ve been desperate to play it. This is finally Ashestoangels year and we couldn’t be more excited,” Enthused vocalist Crilly.
The announcement was made by Daniel P Carter on the Radio 1 Rock Show last night as 36 new additions to the festival line-up were revealed. You can view the new updated festival poster below. Personally I think the line-up looks pretty damn good (Despite the usual social media moaning) and I looking forward to sharing a mildly warm beer with you all in June.
I should also add that Download Festival themselves have announced that this year the main stage will be called the ‘Lemmy Stage’ and that they are working alongside Motorhead management to put together some sort of tribute in what would have been their performance slot. A nice touch I’m sure you’ll agree.
Finally, back to Ashestoangels for one more second… The band are set to release their 4th album How To Bleed on 15th April, while the video for the first single from that project Find Hell can be viewed below. A review of the new record will follow in the not too distant future.
