Single Review: Izzy Bizu – Give Me Love

Back in June I spent the best part of a couple of hundred words telling you about a young lady called Izzy Bizu and what was at the time her brand new single Adam & Eve.  To cut a long story short that tune was fantastic (Still one of the best things I’ve heard all year) and I and plenty of others set about predicting a bright future for the South West London native.

Since the release of that track Izzy has announced her first ever headline London show (The Brewhouse, London Fields on 24th September) and just the other week performed a live lounge session for 1xtra and the legend that is Trevor Nelson. Big things are happening!

The best thing though is that this progress and rise to prominence looks set to continue as new single Give Me Love is another cracker.

Like Adam & Eve this track is just straight summer vibes from front to back. Her vocal is as smooth and as soulful as ever, gliding effortlessly over the stomping drumbeat and soaring strings below. I can’t fault the song in any way; it’s simply another brilliant single.

I’ve spoken previously about how I think that Bizu has the skillset and ability to make it to the top and nothing that I’ve heard on Give Me Love has made me change my mind. It’s a brilliant tune from a brilliant up and coming artist. Just press play on the track below if you don’t believe me.

Give Me Love is out 11th September.
