Single Review: Calum White – Stuck Here With Me

It seems an absolute eternity ago now but back in September I reviewed an EP called Cocktails & Revelations from a guy who goes by the name of Calum White. I was a big fan of that record so after some time away it gives me great pleasure to present Mr White’s latest single Stuck Here With Me.

Although as I mentioned White hasn’t released any material for a number of months that isn’t to say that he hasn’t been busy. In the intervening period Calum has moved down to London from Scotland and has been putting together new material while building up a live following in his new surroundings.

One of the things which I enjoyed about Cocktails & Revelations was its honesty and authenticity. White has a knack of making you feel every lyric that he sings and I’m pleased to say that on Stuck Here With Me that knack hasn’t deserted him. I was a little nervous when I saw that the track was 6 minutes long but there is more than enough going on and certainly enough emotion to hold your interest of the entirety.

What I’m trying to say is that White has delivered again. Take your time with this one, give yourself a quiet moment and really take this track in, it’s the only way you’ll really fully appreciate it. Full with more honesty and emotion that one person can handle at this time on a Friday Stuck Here With Me is another great track to add to White’s ever growing and ever impressive musical CV.
