If you have been following the site in recent months you will know that I am big fans of these guys so seeing this announcement has got me hyped in a big way.
Evyltyde have announced they will be starting work on their debut album in October. Recording for the as-yet untitled project will take place at The Boneyard Studio in Swansea, while the album has been slated for mid-December/early January release.
The 10-track digital release will include 5 songs that currently feature as part of the band’s live set; ‘Living To Die’, ‘Kick You Down’, ‘Guilty’, ‘Hollow’ and ‘Fly Away’ plus 5 brand new songs .
The special edition CD release will not only contain the 10 new recordings, but remixed and re-mastered versions of Evyltyde’s previous releases as well.
“It’s going to have quite a mix of styles”, comments Danny Merton (guitars), “not just ten songs that all sound the same. If you’ve seen us live then you’ll know what to expect, if not, then I guess it will be a bit of a surprise for some.”
“We’re super excited about it”, remarks Hannah Delany (vocals), “I spent two years living in Swansea, so it’s almost a sort of homecoming for me. It will be great to be able to take the time to work on the material and to be able to spend a week doing nothing but singing will be awesome!”
